Terrible accident Friday in Bad Aussee: During forestry work, a Styrian (67) was run over by several tree trunks. He had no chance and died.
An accident during forestry work in his own forest killed a 67-year-old man from Styria in Bad Aussee (Liezen district) on Friday afternoon.
The man deposited felled logs on a sloping pasture and continued his work on a forest road below. When the logs later began to roll and hit the 67-year-old’s upper body, he suffered such serious injuries that he died.
When the man didn’t come home that evening, his wife asked a neighbor to come check on him. The neighbor found the accident victim; An emergency doctor who was called could only confirm his death.
