Navarrese farmers announce that they will continue the mobilizations from Monday

Date:

“The mobilizations will continue because the general interests are not only in the economy, but extend further. And at European level we do not have any obligation or resolution in this regard,” the farmers explained.

The Navarrese farmers and ranchers gathered this Saturday at Tafalla have clarified that They stopped the protests in the center of Pamplona “as a gesture of goodwill towards the government of Navarre for its aptitude for dialogue” and they have announced that mobilizations will continue from Monday.

“The mobilizations will continue because the general interests are not only economic, but extend further. And at European level we have no obligation or resolution in this regard,” they explained in a statement.

Farmers and ranchers named during the meeting two representatives from each zone that from now on they will make the right decisions and agree on the communications that will be communicated to the public.

Likewise, they have the commitments acquired by the government of Navarre at next Friday’s meeting, how we can find a solution to the VAT refund delays facing the sector, and how we can review the CAP’s package control system. In this sense, the signed commitment will be sufficient and georeferencing photos will not be necessary.

There was also a firm commitment to irrigation in Navarre, to the equalization of Navarrese taxes with the rest of the autonomy, to promoting the ‘green harvest’, and to working on the Food Chain Act.

Rural Development is also committed to working to simplify the CAP and extend the five-day period for removing manure and organic matter arranged in piles.
