On Monday evening, three men allegedly pointed a blank pistol at passers-by and fired shots. One of them was arrested.
In the evening hours of Lent Monday, three men were in Vienna’s third district, near the city park. They pointed an empty pistol at passers-by and fired shots at them. A bank security employee observed the incident and immediately raised the alarm.
Not a stranger
The police then searched for the three men together with WEGA. One of them, no stranger to the police, was arrested near the Vienna Mitte train station. The blank pistol was recovered by police. There is a weapons ban against the 17-year-old.
There is currently no trace of the other two suspects and the search was unsuccessful.
