The emergency services were alerted shortly before 4 a.m. on Tuesday. It was said that a vehicle was in danger of crashing. Police and fire brigade then went to the scene of the incident in Windachtal. There they found the Slovakian driver.
Vehicle recovered by fire brigade
He had previously left the snow-covered road and got stuck near a bend. The “road” was simply a forest path. The car, without snow chains, was in danger of crashing. Fortunately, the Floriani disciples were able to prevent that.
The 44-year-old told emergency services that he actually wanted to go to Telfes in the Stubai Valley. However, the navigation system guided him along the route through Sölden.
