On Tuesday evening, a 25-year-old attacked several police officers in Vienna-Favoriten. The officers even had to put a spitguard on the rioter when he was arrested.
The 25-year-old completely panicked during an identity check around 10 p.m. He attacked the officers with punches and kicks. One was injured in the face, neck and wrist.
Backup requested
The suspect was arrested. However, the 25-year-old became even more aggressive and reinforcements were needed. The man had to be put in handcuffs and a spit shield because he had tried to spit on the officers several times.
The injured police officer had to stop working after the attack and was taken to a hospital.
