The sight of the officers made a 33-year-old in Traiskirchen in the Baden district of Lower Austria so angry that he let his fists do the talking. Only with the greatest resistance could he be arrested.
Recently, the police were called to the scene of a fight in Traiskirchen in the Baden district: an alarm about a stolen mobile phone led to a physical confrontation between the officers in the central square.
But the sight of the uniformed men did not calm the fighters. On the contrary: the attempt to separate the two violent opponents even ended in handcuffs for one of them, a 33-year-old Austrian.
He had previously directed his concentrated aggression at one of the police officers. He attacked the officer in the face and neck and also hit him in the upper body. The attacker was eventually arrested – still with fierce resistance. The man is currently in custody at the Wiener Neustadt prison.
E-bike thief arrested
However, the arrest of an e-bike thief, who was even searched for with the police helicopter, went without resistance. The Slovak was previously spotted together with two accomplices in Achau in the Mödling district. But the trio noticed their observer and got cold feet.
Bicycle thieves fled
The perpetrators split up and the stolen goods were quickly discarded as they fled. Because the witness had remembered fragments of the license plate, the vehicle he was looking for was quickly stopped in Rauchwarth in the Bruck an der Leitha district. The 20-year-old is now in custody and the search for his accomplices is ongoing.
