A wet rung caused a 50-year-old to fall in Leoben in Styria on Monday morning: he fell with his ladder into the empty settler and suffered injuries of unknown extent.
The fire brigade found the 50-year-old on Monday morning in an empty settling tank four meters deep. The man, who works for a cleaning company in the area, was previously cleaning the site of a steel construction company. He slipped on a wet rung of a ladder and fell to the ground with it.
Difficult salvage with crane
Fortunately, a colleague from work noticed the accident and raised the alarm. The fire brigade had to rescue the 50-year-old with a crane, and the rescue helicopter was also deployed. He was flown to UKH Graz with injuries of unknown degree.
So far, there is no evidence of third party culpability.
