Police are looking for witnesses – Several skiers have fled after crashes

Date:

Three cases of collisions have been reported on Tyrol’s ski slopes. On Thursday, an unknown man drove away after a collision with a nine-year-old. On Friday, two women fell together. While one was injured, the second continued to drive. On Friday, a 79-year-old was killed by a hooligan.

The first case occurred on the Stubai Glacier around lunchtime on Thursday. At around 12:40 p.m., a nine-year-old German woman and her family were on the blue slope No. 3 “Gamsgarten” towards Dresdner Hütte. In the lower third of the slope, the girl wanted to slow down to wait for her relatives.

Suddenly a skier from the left collided with her back. Both fell. “The second person involved then helped her off the slopes and waited with her at the edge of the slopes for her family members,” police said. However, when they arrived on the scene, he drove away without leaving his details.

The girl was treated by the pister rescue team and an Alpine police officer and taken to the “Gamsgarten” rescue area. “No medical examination has been carried out for the time being,” the police concluded.

The police are looking for the man
The skier is said to be a man between 40 and 50 years old. He spoke with an Austrian accent and wore a green ski jacket.

The German was seriously injured and taken to Lienz Hospital. However, the second woman left the scene of the accident without caring for the injured person or leaving her details.
