When the child stood sideways in the horse’s rear end around 5:25 p.m. and began brushing the animal’s leg with a brush, the horse kicked out with one hind leg and hit the toddler in the head.
Child responded
The child was responsive and had no apparent injuries, but the parents called 911 anyway. The girl was taken to Zams Hospital.
