The serious incident took place on Sunday in the municipality of Niederndorf in the Tyrolean district of Kufstein. The police received a report around 5:30 p.m several young people set off a pyrotechnic object on a playground in the afternoon. Three young people suffered burns.
Police speak of ‘self-laboratory’
It involved a so-called ‘self-laboratory’, that is, homemade pyrotechnic mixtures, a police spokesperson said.
Transferred to the clinic in Innsbruck
“One of the injured was first taken to the Kufstein hospital and from there transferred to the clinic in Innsbruck,” the director continued. The exact course of the incident is currently the subject of extensive investigation.
