Italy to abolish its corona access rules at the end of the month. With the expiry of the previous scheme, it is no longer necessary to demonstrate a corona vaccination, recovery or a negative test on entry, the foreign ministry in Rome said on Monday.
Italy was the first European country to be hit by the corona virus in early 2020. Over the course of the pandemic, it imposed some of the strictest corona requirements. For example, all employees in the workplace had to submit a corona vaccination, recovery or a negative test.
Most corona measures have now been lifted as the vaccination campaign has progressed. Protective masks are only required in schools and on public transport.
