There is sadness in Breitenau am Hochlantsch (Bruck-Mürzzuschlag district): an industrial accident took place there late on Tuesday afternoon in a mining company. A man (50) has died.
According to police, the 50-year-old worker was covering explosion holes when the dramatic accident occurred. The man was on a work platform when a piece of rock suddenly came loose and hit the victim in the upper body.

The force of the plate caused the Styrian to fall to the ground several meters from the work platform, sustaining fatal injuries. He later died at the scene of the accident.
The circumstances have yet to be clarified
“External negligence can be excluded,” the LPD Styria announced on Tuesday evening. The circumstances of the accident will be clarified by the labor inspectorate on Wednesday.
