Several people were injured in an accident on the toboggan run in Flachau on Wednesday evening. A total of nine sleds collided and seven young people had to be taken to hospitals.
A group of students from the Netherlands traveled alone or in pairs on sleds through the valley around 9 p.m. An accident occurred on the upper part of the route after a sled carrying two people braked abruptly to avoid hitting someone in front of it.
The result was a crash involving a total of nine sleds. Of the thirteen students involved, seven were injured and taken to Schladming Hospital and Schwarzach Clinic. Some have already been able to leave the hospital.
Further investigation by the police is still ongoing.
