On Monday afternoon, a bizarre incident took place in a dog park in Vienna-Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus. A half-naked man (38) barked at dogs for no reason and is said to have even partially attacked them. When the police arrived, the situation escalated.
Wild scenes played out in Auer-Welsbach Park as officers confronted the visibly confused, half-naked man. The 38-year-old then insulted the police and fled. A short time later, he returned, picked up a dog hair brush from a dog owner who had left it on a park bench and threw it at the officers.
Defended with kicks and punches
When the police tried to arrest the man to bring the situation under control, he tried to defend himself with kicks and punches. But without success. Because a mental illness could not be ruled out, according to the police, the 38-year-old was taken to a hospital.
