Police in Innsbruck are currently looking for a motorist who hit two pedestrians at a zebra crossing on Friday morning. Both women were injured, one seriously. The unknown driver fled.
According to the police, the accident took place around 6:50 am on the Schusterbergweg in Innsbruck at number 81. A 32-year-old Austrian woman and a 56-year-old Croatian woman were about to cross the street at the zebra crossing. They were hit head-on by the unknown person’s car and thrown onto the street. Without even stopping, let alone helping the women, the driver continued driving and turned right onto Werner-von-Siemens-Straße shortly after the zebra crossing.
The 32-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured in the accident, while the 56-year-old suffered minor injuries. The rescue took both women to the clinic in Innsbruck.
Driver starts calling witnesses
Police are now looking for the unknown driver who crashed after the accident. She is said to be a blonde woman with short hair.
