Horrific bloodshed in a Viennese apartment: Just two days after the torture murder in a drug bunker, a mother and her 13-year-old daughter were found bludgeoned to death. The husband has disappeared.
She stopped answering her cell phone, didn’t respond to messages and was offline on WhatsApp. And that was hours before the police broke down the door of apartment number 50 on Erdbergstrasse at 7 a.m. on Friday after Claudia R.’s mother raised the alarm. She couldn’t reach her daughter, nor her 13-year-old grandchild. And certainly not the little one’s father. What the officers discovered was hell: there were two lifeless people. Mother and daughter. They were killed.
Father of murdered girl goes into hiding
“Whose?” neighbors asked on Friday afternoon at the local inspection “Krone”. Police spokesman Philipp Haßlinger could not provide an answer. “There’s a manhunt going on,” he said curtly. The rest is the subject of the investigation: Claudia’s husband and father of the 13-year-old cannot currently be found.
Judith, an old friend of the family, just stands there – in the courtyard of the residential building – and cannot express her sadness, anger and anger. She cries and takes soothing drops. Christian R. was her tax advisor, Claudia was her friend after she rented the murder victim’s second home. “We have a great community here. Everyone helps everyone. Everyone likes each other. “We always all helped together,” she says. There should never be any aggression in this house. Certainly not in R.’s ‘house’, Judith adds – ‘at least not to the outside world.’
“I Felt It”
And yet, two people had to die in apartment number 50 (the exact time of death has yet to be determined).
“I felt it,” says Judith. The night before. “I was scared and didn’t sleep well. I knew something was wrong. There was an uneasy feeling.’ She couldn’t believe what was happening. “We have been friends for fifteen years. You and the little girl can’t be dead.”
She couldn’t reach Claudia on her cell phone, nor her husband Christian. ‘He was acting kind of strange last week. I wanted an appointment, but he just curtly said ‘yes, at some point’.” Whatever. The search for a double murderer is in full swing. What remains is the question: who can murder a mother and her daughter in cold blood?
