The Ministry of Consumer Affairs limits the waiting time at customer service to three minutes

The Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón, has explained that the law will also reduce the maximum time to resolve general claims from 30 to 15 working days.

The Council of Ministers, on a proposal from the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, has approved the draft bill to regulate customer service for companies, which means that three minutes the waiting time to be assisted by telephone in information, claims and after-sales services.

The law, as explained by the Minister of Consumption, Alberto Garzón, in the press conference after the Council, also reduces 30 to 15 days working hours the maximum time to resolve general claims, and will allow the communities to shorten this period if their specific regulations consider it.

These are some of the measures of the design and in case of non-compliance, the companies will face fines up to 100,000 euros

On November 16, the drafting was approved and now it reaches the Council, according to his spokesman, Isabel Rodríguez, in a “second round”.
