The criminal record of a German man aged only 25 reads like a Hollywood script. The serial fraudster stayed in hotels under a false name, stole credit cards, deceived doctors and stole 18,000 euros worth of narcotics. The internationally wanted man has now been arrested in Flachau.
The 25-year-old German from North Rhine-Westphalia was arrested in Flachau on Saturday evening. It’s the end of his long, criminal journey.
In cooperation with the police in Vienna, the suspect has so far been charged with fourteen crimes that he committed throughout Germany.
The man is accused of carrying a found wallet and making several purchases with the debit card inside.
He is also said to have rented hotels, sometimes under his own name, sometimes under assumed names or as an alleged employee of an international company, without paying the bills.
He is also accused of fraudulently conducting tests at various hospitals under false pretenses to obtain the anesthetic propofol. In addition, he is accused of stealing these anesthetics during treatments in order to administer them to himself.
The total damage determined so far is approximately 18,000 euros. The German was taken to Salzburg prison.
