There are still 150 days until the 33rd Summer Olympics take place in Paris on July 26. The Austrian team is growing in size, with 24 athletes having already secured their starting places, plus there are numerous quota places and athletes who will almost certainly be included via the rankings. Six of our seven Tokyo 2021 medalists already have plans for Paris and want to be repeat offenders there.
To mark the 150-day deadline, the ÖOC homepage will appear in a new look on February 27. A signal that everyone is already thinking about Paris, where our best summer athletes want to build on the great successes of Tokyo. Two and a half years ago, Austrian summer sports experienced an unexpected moment of glory with seven medals, the second most successful competition ever in terms of the number of precious metals. With the exception of Bettina Plank, whose karate sport is no longer on the Olympic program, all the red-white-red heroes from back then are competing for a medal again this time.
