Wild scenes took place on a pedestrian and cycle path in Tyrol on Monday afternoon! A very drunk German woman (53) apparently had problems with a Hungarian woman (30) who came towards her on an electric scooter. There was a near accident involving a truck and the 53-year-old was arrested. Police are now looking for witnesses to the incident.
The incident took place on Monday around 2:20 p.m. on the pedestrian and cycle path directly next to the Loferer state road in the municipality of Ellmau (Kufstein district): “A 53-year-old, heavily drunk German hit a 30-year-old Hungarian woman with a drink to unknown reasons The Hungarian woman ended up on the carriageway of the busy federal road of Lofer,” the police said.
The truck was able to avoid it
The pedestrian had previously forced the 30-year-old, who was approaching on an electric scooter, to stop by jumping back and forth several times, shouting at her repeatedly and finally shaking the scooter’s handlebars back and forth. “A passing truck honked loudly and drew attention to the current dangerous situation,” the driver said. Fortunately there was no collision.
German was admitted to the clinic
“According to the current state of the investigation, the two people have never met and are therefore not known to each other,” the researchers explain. The 53-year-old was found by police in an apartment. She was initially taken to the clinic in Innsbruck for clarification. The Innsbruck Public Prosecutor’s Office ordered the arrest of the Germans after they were released from the Innsbruck clinic.
The police are looking for witnesses
The police are now asking any witnesses to the incident, especially the truck driver who honked loudly due to the dangerous situation, to contact the police station in Söll (tel.: +43 59133 7218).
