Patrizia Reggiani, who was imprisoned for 17 years for the contract murder of her ex-husband, was the victim of scammers. The investigations against the eight suspects – including two lawyers – are based on reports from family circles.
After her mother’s death in 2019, Patrizia Reggiani inherited property, land and other assets worth 14 million euros. The two lawyers and a financial adviser who arranged for Reggiani’s legacy, as well as some front men, are suspected by the Milan Public Prosecution Service of robbing the 73-year-old of parts of her assets – including some real estate. The woman is not maddened, but she is highly manipulable, the researchers have already established.
Girlfriend Reggianis as mastermind?
The police suspect a friend of Reggiani’s, who had served a prison sentence with her for murder, as the mastermind behind the large-scale fraud. The woman had therefore manipulated and persuaded Reggiani to cut off all contact with her two daughters. She also stole her jewelry and accused the staff of theft.
The girlfriend also had access to Reggiani’s accounts and persuaded the 73-year-old to take out a life insurance policy with a premium of €6.6 million, in which she is named as the beneficiary.
