Death in Thailand – DJ killed: ‘Max was an angel and was there for everyone’

Date:

After the bloody death of 42-year-old DJ Max H. from Upper Austria on the Thai party island Koh Phangan, his relatives and friends are in great despair. Because the first day of the trial is already Wednesday, the family fears a mild sentence.

“It’s so bad, I still can’t believe it!” Martina Shelley is in severe shock. No wonder, because last week, Thursday evening, her brother Max H. (42) was brutally beaten to death on the Thai island of Koh Phangan.

After a party, a 37-year-old Moroccan is said to have murdered the Upper Austrian with an iron bar. “But it certainly wasn’t a fight or anything like that. Max wanted to bring his girlfriend a key, left the house while he was on the phone, when he saw the Moroccan searching his pickup. There are witnesses to that,” says Shelley. She is sure that the alleged perpetrator then struck.

“Representation cannot be correct”
“His statement that there was an argument in the house beforehand cannot be true. My brother was not one to pick a fight, he certainly didn’t start a fight. My brother was an angel who was there for everyone and helped everyone,” she says.

Sister was nearby
The sister was very close when her brother was murdered. “I went to bed earlier and was in my bungalow when Max’s girlfriend called me completely upset,” Shelley tells the “Krone”.

The reason: her brother’s true love had discovered the body. The suspected perpetrator was quickly identified. “The Moroccan is already in court today. The Thai police worked quickly and accurately,” said Martina Shelley.
