Many people want a watch from the luxury brand Rolex, but few can afford it. Probably not an unknown woman either, because she stole one of the noble wristwatches from a jewelry store in Villach. Now the police are looking for the culprit – and there is a crucial clue…
The theft took place on Tuesday around 6 p.m.: the unknown lady entered the jewelry store in Villach and was shown an expensive Rolex watch. Please note: the watch is worth several thousand euros! The stranger took turns asking for different pieces of jewelry – because she kept asking for a wide variety of items, the seller had to leave the sales counter several times.
Perpetrator only spoke Italian
Still, the culprit was not alone in the sales area: Since she only spoke Italian, another employee came to translate. During the conversation, the thief put her bag on the counter – next to the Rolex watch packed in a box. The woman kept rummaging in her pocket until she said she wanted money. Only after she had already disappeared did the seller notice that the luxury watch was also missing – including the packaging.
Pregnant offender
There is a detailed description of the unknown perpetrator. The curious thing was that she only spoke Italian! The female is about 30 years old, about 165 cm tall and has long black hair and brown eyes. Her snub nose and baby bump are striking.
The assailant appeared well-groomed, police said. She wore a short-sleeved summer dress with a blue and white floral pattern, white sneakers and a beige sun hat. She was carrying a large black ladies handbag and covering her face with a dark mouth and nose guard.
