After numerous property crimes were proven against her in the spring of 2023, a 42-year-old from the Lower Mühlviertel (Upper Austria) was now caught red-handed in a secret theft case. The mother used the large amount of stolen goods to support herself and her three children.
In the spring of last year, the 42-year-old was caught red-handed when he broke into a cellar. At that time, according to the police, a total of 153 property crimes could be proven against her. But that did not stop the Mühlviertler from the Perg district from striking again later.
18 sneaky thefts
As has now become known, the 42-year-old was caught red-handed again in December last year during a sneaky theft and provisionally arrested. Between May and December, investigators found eighteen such stealth thefts and two burglaries in the districts of Perg, Amstetten, Freistadt and Steyr-Land.
Mostly known
The mother is said to have usually broken in in the early morning hours and was not deterred even by sleeping residents. She used the stolen goods to finance her livelihood and that of her three children.
She has now largely confessed to the allegations. The woman was taken to Linz prison.
