The funeral service for Kremlin opponent Alexei Navalny is scheduled for Friday at 2 p.m. local time (12 p.m. CET) in Moscow (see video above). However, according to his spokeswoman, the start could be postponed because the body was released to relatives later than planned.
“Alexei’s body will be handed over to his family and the hearse will soon be on its way to the church,” Navalny’s spokeswoman Kira Yarmysch wrote on Platform Hundreds of people crowded near the metal bars at the church in Moscow’s Marjino district to bid farewell to the opposition leader. Navalny’s team even reported more than 1,000 people. They often carried flowers in their hands.
Documents are checked
Dozens of emergency vehicles and uniformed personnel took up positions early in the morning. Documents and personal belongings of passers-by were checked. According to reports, there was a notice on the church stating that no filming or photography was allowed. The mobile internet would have been down-regulated. It was previously announced that the funeral would be broadcast live on the internet.
No visa for Ernst-Dziedzic

The funeral service was scheduled for 2:00 PM local time (12:00 PM CET), with the burial two hours later (2:00 PM CET) at the Borisov Cemetery.
