After his injury-related retirement during Friday’s giant slalom in Aspen, Manuel Feller gave the signal about his damaged back. The focus on Sunday is on the slalom – in which the Tyrolean becomes the ninth Austrian in history to repair the small crystal ball.
Since Adelboden, on January 7, Manuel Feller has been wearing the red jersey of the slalom leader, which took him via Switzerland to Austria, to France, Bulgaria and the USA. “I want to prove to the whole world that I am the fastest slalom skier,” Feller smiles. For those whose well-deserved reward is within reach, his first crystal ball should be confirmation of his excellent season. “That would be huge – the sooner the better,” said the Tyrolean.
