On Sunday evening on the way to a skiing holiday, a bus carrying children and young people crashed on the highway near Dijon in France. A 15-year-old was killed – “a tragedy,” Transport Minister Patrice Vergriete said of X.
Twelve other passengers were injured when the bus fell on its side on the A6 highway for reasons that are still unclear, French media reported, citing police.
The bus was on its way from a place in Normandy to the French Alps with 41 children and young people between the ages of five and fifteen and ten adults.
The rescuers arrived on the highway with a large contingent. Initial investigation shows that the driver was not under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
