On Sunday evening, a 26-year-old Syrian allegedly beat his pregnant girlfriend until she was admitted to hospital and kicked her in the stomach. The 22-year-old was taken to a hospital.
During the night from Saturday to Sunday, there was an argument between a 22-year-old and her 26-year-old boyfriend (from Syria). The 26-year-old allegedly punched his girlfriend, who was six months pregnant, several times and also kicked her in the stomach.
Already violent in the past
The young woman managed to escape to a bar and call the police. When officers arrived, they found the 26-year-old in the apartment and subsequently arrested him on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and dangerous threats.
The expectant mother was taken to hospital by the Vienna Professional Rescue Service. The suspect allegedly hit his girlfriend in the past and threatened to kill her. An entry and approach ban and a temporary weapons ban were issued against the man.
