A spectacular accident took place between Lustenau and Hohenems in Vorarlberg on Tuesday. The driver of a truck lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the bridge railing.
A drunk truck driver caused some material damage and endangered road users on the L203 between Lustenau and Hohenems on Tuesday afternoon. As the police reported, according to eyewitnesses, the driver of a Czech truck crossed into the opposite lane.
Looking for witnesses
When she tried to counter-steer, she crashed into the road marking posts and ended up dragging an entire bridge railing a few meters away. The police are looking for witnesses to the incident.
Heavy damage
After colliding with the bridge, the truck stopped. It was so badly damaged it had to be towed away and the road was closed on one side for more than two hours. The bridge railing and road marking posts were completely damaged.
Witnesses or anyone in danger are asked by the police to contact the Lustenau police station on 059 133 8144.
