A heated argument during an oral medical exam in Bangladesh has escalated completely. A teacher suddenly pulled out a gun and shot a student.
He wasn’t sure what the argument was about. However, the shot was fired directly in the presence of the victim’s fellow students. The reason was a heated discussion during the exam, a police spokesperson told the German news agency on Thursday.
The 23-year-old victim has been in hospital since the incident on Monday, where he is being treated for a leg injury.
According to the doctor, the action was “unintentional”
The teacher was arrested following a student protest on the campus of Shaheed M Mansur Ali Medical College in Sirajganj district. An investigation was conducted and the doctor confessed to the crime but said he had committed it “unintentionally,” police said.
In his bag, officers found two pistols, 81 bullets and twelve knives, which he was in illegal possession. According to students, he often showed weapons during lectures.
