A family of five was shocked on Thursday evening in Kematen in Tyrol: a fire suddenly broke out in the living room of the single-family home. While the father fought the fire and two daughters ran outside, mother and son (3) fled to the balcony. The fire brigade had to save her.

The two daughters, aged 8 and 10, were able to leave the house. The Serb’s wife and three-year-old son were apparently no longer able to do so. According to the fire brigade, they were on the balcony on the first floor. They were then rescued by the respiratory protection team and taken to safety.

The emergency services then carried out further extinguishing work. “All five residents of the house were taken to the Innsbruck clinic with suspected smoke poisoning,” the investigators continued.
The cause of the fire is currently unclear. The police started an investigation.
