Tapia meets today with the agricultural unions to analyze their proposals for the decalogue of the Basque institutions

The aim of the meeting is to share the contributions that the ENBA, EHNE and UAGA unions have separately made to the proposal of the Basque government and the provincial councils.

The Minister of Economic Development, Sustainability and Environment of the Basque Government, Arantxa Tapia, will meet this Friday (11:30 am) with the trade unions of the first sector to analyze the proposals they made individually at the decalogue of the Basque institutions (Basque government and provincial councils).

The meeting will take place at Neiker’s headquarters in Derio (Bizkaia), and they have already been summoned ENBA, EHNE and UAGA.

The purpose of this meeting is put in common the contributions made individually by the various trade unions and other agricultural groups last month to the decalogue drawn up by the institutions.

In this decalogue, the Basque government and the provincial councils undertake, among other things, to cooperate with the competent authorities so that the community rules that it would be “fair, flexible and adapted to the specific reality of Euskadi”. reduce bureaucratic burdens of the CAP and to introduce “mirror clauses” in the European Union so that products from outside the EU comply with the same standards than the Europeans.

They announce that they will “simplify and facilitate the management and processing of aid, ensuring fair and efficient access to resources”, and that they will commit to establishing a stable aid program adapted to the “ specific” needs of each agricultural activity.

This meeting will take place after hundreds of farmers collapsed the AP-8 highway in Biriatu Muga.
