The beautiful Friday attracted thousands of skiers to the Tyrolean slopes, but again there were deadly collisions. One of the perpetrators fled and in a second case the data was not exchanged.
Around 10.55am on Friday, a local woman (66) skied down the red-marked slope No. 2 in Auffach. In the flat area above the middle station of the Schatzbergbahn (above Gasthof Koglmoos) she was rammed by an unknown skier and fell. The woman suffered a broken collarbone in her right shoulder.
The second skier did not fall
After initial care from the snow rescue team, the 66-year-old was taken to a doctor in Auffach. The second person involved did not fall during the collision. He continued his journey without caring for the wounded man or revealing his identity. The Wörgl police station (059133/7221) is asking witnesses for information.
The second person involved is approximately 45 to 50 years old and was wearing dark ski pants, a light anorak and a ski helmet.
Collision also in Kitzbühel
In the Kitzbühel ski area, a German skier (61) was skiing on the blue-marked slope No. 28 “Silberstube” around 10:20 am when she was hit by a 20-year-old snowboarder. She continued her journey without exchanging information, as the 61-year-old initially did not claim any wrongdoing.
The consequences of the injury were only felt late
Only a short time later, the 61-year-old felt severe pain and alerted the snow rescue team, who, after initial care, took her to the valley for medical treatment. The victim was found to have a fracture of the right ankle joint and the head of the right fibula. The Kitzbühel police (059133/7200) is asking for information or for the snowboarder to report.
