Fatal alpine accident Sunday morning in the Tyrolean Oberland: An eight-year-old girl from Latvia was seriously injured while skiing in the See im Paznaun ski area (Landeck district). The child lost control and went over the edge of the slope.

She was first treated on site by the pister rescue team and then flown to Zams Hospital by rescue helicopter.
