The German Locomotive Union has called for another warning strike in the collective labor agreement negotiations dispute with Deutsche Bahn. From 2 a.m. on Tuesday, extensive restrictions will again apply to long-distance, regional and freight transport for 24 hours, the association announced on Sunday evening. The freight transport strike starts next Monday at 6 p.m. and ends on Tuesday at 6 p.m.
Since the railway company GDL has not submitted a new offer since January 19, “this will inevitably lead to industrial action”, the report said. Just last week, millions of commuters were affected by the GDL’s fifth strike in the current collective bargaining round.
