A foreign military truck got stuck in a tunnel in Liefering late Monday afternoon. Because it is unclear what the van was transporting, the police cordoned it off extensively, according to information from “Krone”. The result was a major traffic jam.
The vehicle was probably an American truck, eyewitnesses reported to the “Krone”.
The truck picked up cables as it drove through a highway tunnel in the Liefering district of Salzburg, believed to be from a trolleybus line.
Because it currently appears unclear what the military transport vehicle was transporting and whether it was damaged in the accident, the police have preventively closed the streets and the A1 highway. There is currently a major traffic jam.
