An 82-year-old suffered life-threatening injuries in an accident involving a vineyard tractor in the Tillmitsch area (Leibnitz district) in Styria on Wednesday evening.
The pensioner from the Leibnitz district probably drove his vineyard tractor through a street in Steingrub (Binnenberg). Around 5 p.m., a neighbor found the man on the street and called emergency services. The tractor was in a ditch on the side of the road. It is not yet known how the accident could have happened.

After initial treatment, the 82-year-old was flown to LKH Graz by the rescue helicopter C 17 with life-threatening injuries. The Tillmitsch fire brigade had 14 men and two vehicles on duty.
