Rocket fire: – Russians must leave polling station in Belgorod

Date:

While the presidential elections have now started in Russia, provocations are already being reported. The city of Belgorod is attacked again. Residents even had to leave the polling station due to rocket alarms.

There’s a bang and deep black smoke rises. Sirens howl. “When you are at home, stay away from windows. Seek shelter in windowless rooms with solid walls (corridor, bathroom, toilet, closet). If you are outside, go to a public shelter or other safe place,” Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov told concerned citizens.

The Russian air defense system was able to fire seven projectiles from the ‘Vampir’ multiple rocket launcher over the Belgorod region, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced. The polling station in Belgorod even had to be evacuated due to rocket alarms, reports the Russian state news agency “RIA Novosti”. The elections are now going ahead again.

A turbulent weekend is expected
So far it is known that some vehicles were damaged and a fire broke out, the Telegram channel “Shot” announced.

Since the brutal Russian attack on Ukraine more than two years ago, there have been repeated attacks and shelling in the regions bordering the war zones. Intensified attacks have been reported on the city and Belgorod Oblast in recent days. Russians who are hostile to the regime are also suspected of this. The “Siberian Battalion” had previously published videos of fighters on Telegram and said: “We have said before that it will not be possible to peacefully overthrow the criminal dictatorial regime in the Russian Federation.”
