A fire in Klagenfurt is currently requiring fire services. A fire broke out in the warehouse of a company on Friday morning. Fire extinguishing work is difficult and dangerous.
On Friday at 6:30 a.m., the Klagenfurt fire brigade received a report that there was a fire at a company on August-Jaksch-Straße burns. A resident noticed the smoke near the warehouse and then called the fire brigade.
Small explosions all the time
“Because cleaning products are stored in the warehouse, the fire continues to flare up. We now have to break down the fences to get better access and to be able to empty all the stuff and put out the fire properly,” says Helmut Unterluggauer, head of operations at the Klagenfurt professional fire brigade, adding: “Because of the ingredients With cleaning products this happens again and again with smaller explosions.”
Robert Ratheiser of the professional fire brigade: “The fire is now under control. It is a window cleaner that also contains ethanol. Even though it may not be a high percentage and therefore dangerous, caution is still required.”
Several fire brigades were present.
