Recently a gloss came out that was a complete diatribe against canned ravioli. No, you didn’t read it wrong: canned ravioli! Author and natural scientist Christian Mähr did not like the text at all.
The lyrics irritated me at first, but then got me thinking. This is extremely rare; usually I just get irritated. The first reaction is of course: what is behind that? The ravioli could be the starting point for another issue, namely criticism of a bad current situation, which is illustrated by the example of canned ravioli. Because, as we all know, journalists write articles mainly for one reason: to make the world a better place. But that wasn’t the case here. The author simply has a deep-seated aversion to – one might even say a hatred of – canned ravioli.
