Protests had an effect: the construction giant gave in to the settlement project

Date:

The protests of the residents of the South Tyrolean settlement in the Salzburg district of Liefering are having an impact. The large project is now being replanned with many improvements. Significantly more subsidized rental apartments are also to be created.

The residents of the South Tyrolean settlement of Salzburg have had major concerns over the past two years. New buildings have to be built there. Existing tenants have to be ‘persuaded’ to move using sometimes questionable methods. Construction giant Buwog even tried to terminate fixed leases, but without success.

The “Krone” reported in detail on the developments. After months of standstill, the topic is now moving again.
