Such incidents are not uncommon, especially in Tyrol. Only late Tuesday afternoon, a holidaymaker from the Netherlands was attacked by a cow in Sölden in the Ötztal and seriously injured.

According to the police, the 27-year-old wanted to take a picture of the animal when it suddenly stood up and rammed its horn into the woman’s leg. The injured person was flown by helicopter to Zams Hospital.
