Never again “Burenheidl” or Frankfurter! A circumstance that would probably have made Emperor Franz I blush with anger, as he once declared the latter his favorite dish after a tasting. Two centuries later, another ’emperor’ had to close his cult sausage stall.
Another piece of Linz’s cultural heritage will be lost. For more than 50 years, sausage lovers young and old, miners and packmen, have enjoyed Debreziner, Käsekrainer and the like at the location between Keferfeld and Untergaumberg – but now it’s all over. The sausage stall will no longer be operated as such. However, not, as is unfortunately often the case nowadays in the catering industry, because the staff or guests are absent.
