A resident caused a major shock in the parking lot of a shopping center in Innsbruck on Thursday around 11:25 p.m. There, a witness saw shots being fired from a vehicle. He then immediately called the police.

They arrived on scene and found the car along with the driver and passenger. A check of the driver and vehicle revealed that the passenger, a 21-year-old local resident, had a blank pistol with several cartridges. The gun and ammunition have been seized.
A temporary weapons ban was issued against the passenger, police said. He was generally reported.
