Michaela Eisold-Pernthaller has been working in the security sector for 30 years. “I started with law, but that was too boring for me,” she says. When the police finally started hiring women in early 1991, it was clear to the 52-year-old that she wanted to do it. 15 years later she moved to the private sector and since then she has been training security personnel at VSÖ – Association of Austrian Security Companies – and has been director there since 2007.
The de-escalation training alone attracts 5,000 participants every year, with an emphasis on security personnel, but also commercial employees, train drivers and train conductors and hospital employees. And how can you imagine these courses?
