With power & organic seal – How agriculture can succeed despite the crisis

Date:

High cost pressure, long working hours and a lot of bureaucracy with little gratitude: it is no wonder that more and more farmers are giving up their profession. The Buckligen Welt is a model company that was smoothly passed on to the next generation and is now continued with great enthusiasm.

Julia Trimmel-Angeler took over her parents’ organic farm in January this year. She runs the farm in Kirchschlag with passion and combines modern work with old agricultural traditions. Another advantage: “I can be there for our three children and I am always close by,” she reports. And according to the farmer involved, she also appreciates that she can divide the work relatively freely.

“Everything organic” since 1995
The courageous farmer’s wife and mother took over a company with a long (organic) tradition: the farm has been run organically since 1995. Since 2012, we have fully specialized in keeping organic chickens. 1,500 chicks of both sexes frolic on the farm and in the meadows. Naturally, hygiene regulations and on-site medical care are also strictly adhered to.

After twelve weeks there is fresh, ready-to-roast organic chicken. The slaughter takes place on the farm. Trimmel-Angeler: “The farm and its animals are very important to me.” And probably the next generation will take over with the same enthusiasm.
