A 38-year-old man from Styria received a full escalation during a police check in Linz. The man repeatedly drove at police officers, then briefly fled and even spat food around. The man refused to take an alcohol test. Now there is a flood of advertisements for the Styria.
Police officers carried out driver and vehicle checks in a side lane on Salzburger Strasse in Linz around 9:30 p.m. Shortly before they finished checking one car, another car approached the officers at excessive speed.
Revved the engine
The police officers – they were in plain clothes – used clear hand gestures to indicate to the driver that he should reduce his speed. He then suddenly braked in front of the officers and they identified themselves as police officers. When the driver realized he was dealing with police officers, he revved his engine several times. He also indicated that he would continue to drive contrary to the officers’ instructions by letting his car drive away briefly several times, and then immediately braking again and steering in the direction of the officers.
Lenker fled
He then accelerated his car and tried to escape. The police officers gave chase and after a short chase found the man, a 38-year-old from the Weiz district, next to his car. During the check, he refused the breath test, resulting in his car keys being taken away.
“Throughout the entire official act, the 38-year-old behaved extremely aggressively, gesticulating with his hands, shouting at police officers from nearby and spitting around his food,” police said in a news release. After repeated warnings and threats of arrest, he calmed down again. It is displayed.
