The series of serious paragliding accidents in Tyrol continues: a 42-year-old German fell in the Tannheimer Tal late Saturday afternoon. Despite a search flight with a helicopter, the seriously injured man was only found two hours later. From a cabin keeper.
At around 5:30 p.m., a hiker sounded the alarm. The alpinist reported seeing a paraglider crash in the Lochgehrenkopf area.
Search flight failed
The alarmed emergency doctor helicopter eventually carried out a longer search flight there, according to the police. But initially no one was found.
Hüttenwirt discovered seriously injured
It was not until 7.30 pm that the seriously injured pilot was discovered by a cabin keeper. Then he set the rescue chain in motion again. The 42-year-old German was then flown by helicopter to the Murnau clinic in Bavaria.
