The 83-year-old from Linz wanted to cross the protective path on Kremsmünsterer Straße to get to the tram stop on Wednesday evening. A truck driver (59) from Traun stopped his vehicle just before the zebra crossing.
According to the police, the truck driver may have overlooked the pedestrian while driving away.

The 83-year-old was knocked over in the accident and hit her head on the road. An emergency doctor treated her serious injuries and the elderly woman was then taken to the Linz Accident Hospital.
