The ranks on the dance floors of discos in Styria are visibly thinning – or getting older. Classic late-night dining is in turmoil. Many cult places, where generations of young people were ‘socialized’ for nightlife, are closed or only rarely open. At the beginning of this year, the lights went out in the former stronghold in Niklasdorf (last operated under the name Sixty). Since the end of January, La Noche in Gralla in southern Styria has only been open on Saturdays.
